SAI has received 12 national,
state, or local awards for comprehensive plans and environmental protection regulations. In 1998, SAI won the American Society of Consulting Planners’
Award for Sustainable Planning in Government for the City of Key West Land Development
Code. SAI projects have
received awards and recognition from the following planning organizations:
American Planning Association; American Society of Consulting Planners;
Florida Chapter, American Planning Association; Florida Department of
Community Affairs (DCA); Florida Planning and Zoning Association.

| Firm dedicates planning service to
local government. More than 98% of the firm's clients are local municipalities
and counties who seek SAI's services for professional planning assistance. More
than 60% of SAI's clients have signed multiple contracts with the firm |

| SAI has assisted local governments
in preparing more than 250 comprehensive plan elements and has prepared eight
(8) unified land development codes. The Florida Department of Community Affairs
(DCA) has approved all of SAI's plans submitted for State review.
All of SAI's Comprehensive Plans have been adopted by the local
government and approved by DCA. |

| Les Solin was selected
as a charter member of the College of Fellows within the American
Institute of Certified Planners (AICP)--one the highest honors that can be
bestowed to planning practitioners. This honor is a recognition of the
achievements of the planner as an individual, elevating the Fellow before
the public and the profession as a model planner who has made significant
contributions to planning and society. Fellowship is granted to planners
who have been members of AICP and have achieved excellence in professional
practice, teaching and mentoring, research, public/community service, and
leadership. Those chosen become members of the College of Fellows. Solin served
on the governing board of AICP, from 1988 to 1996, was principal author of
AICP’s first Professional Practice Manual (American Planning
Association Press, 1995), and chaired the AICP Professional Practice
Committee and AICP Ethics Committee. |

by public and private sector clients to offer expert testimony regarding
land use, growth management, site planning, and developments. Issues
frequently address compatibility, consistency, and code compliance in
forums before elected and appointed officials, administrative hearings,
and in matters before the judicial court. |
